Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturer, they are looking for an Internal Sales Engineer to join their team. You will be customer-focused and responsible for the successful quotation of high-volume order requests. This job would suit someone with an Engineering background or Engineering qualifications with previous experience as a Sales Executive / Account Manager / Sales Representative / Key Account Manager / Sales Consultant / Business Development Executive / Business Development Manager, or other similar Technical Sales role. • Salary - Up to £35,000 depending on experience Bonus (up to 10% of salary) • Working Hours - 37 hours per week, 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.00am – 1.00pm on Friday. • Hybrid role - 3 days in the office, and 2 days working from home (optional) Responsibilities: • Build relationships with customers, external/internal sales team, and agents to work effectively and secure profitable orders. • To correctly interpret customer requirements, and to offer an appropriate solution from the product range. • To ensure that orders are correctly entered into the SAP system once received, and arrange handover and/or kick off meetings as required within the time allowed in the contract delivery schedule. • To develop Key Customer Accounts in conjunction with Internal Sales Manager and Product Manager. • Visit customers if and when required. • To work as an effective team member by offering control and choke valve expertise and flexibility of cover and assistance to others when required. • To ensure that processes and procedures are followed in accordance with the Quality Management System. • Any other duties that may be required to meet the needs of the company. • Participate in training sessions, seminars, and continuing development to stay abreast of new technical developments. • Support in budgeting and forecasting. • Support in the preparation and delivery of annual Input, Sales & Profit budgets in line with the product range strategy expectations. • Ensure all work personally undertaken is carried out in compliance with current H&S rules and safety systems and is in line with the requirements of the duty of care document. • Achieve year on year growth targets through the budget and forecasting process • Execute the specific sales plans and strategies to optimise existing and potential business • Recommend sales, product, and pricing strategies • Maintain customer interface to increase sales to existing accounts and attract new Candidate Requirements: • Internal technical sales experience in the Valve and/or Pump industry, dealing with large projects and customer specifications. • An in-depth knowledge of Valves and Pumps. Control and Choke Valves / Isolation Valves would be desired, but just any Valve knowledge is fine. • A background / qualification in Mechanical Engineering is desirable, not essential. • Understand difference between Castings, Forgings and Bar material. • Competent user of Microsoft Office packages. • Good knowledge of MRP Systems and SAP is desirable, not essential.
