Department: Infrastructur Services

Responsible To: Manager, Facility Services
Hours of Work: 40 Hours Biweekly Days/Evenings (8, 10 and 12 Hour Shifts)
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three to five years of relevant work experience
Environmental Hazard Awareness
Crisis Intervention Methods
Emergency Protocols
Risk Management Procedures
Current housekeeping and laundry service programs, systems, and practices
Computer Literacy
Duties
Accomplishes departmental objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes. Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counselling and discipline. Plans, monitors, and appraises job results.
Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.
Establish and educate staff on cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Motivates team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job.
Responds to customer complaints and special requests.
Maintains daily operations of the department.
Ensures all areas are clean and safe for residents, staff, and visitors.
Solves conflict within the department.
Communicates with external and internal clients.
Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
Ensures the needs of internal and external clients are anticipated and satisfied.
Performs administrative duties related to housekeeping operations.
Maintains a high level of cleaning quality in all areas of responsibility.
Maintains a safe working environment.
Follows safe work practices for chemical use including proper labelling, storage, and use. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
Develops and maintains communication links with multiple internal and external clients.
Salary: As per Northwood Scale
