Primary Teacher – Day-to-Day & Long-Term Support
Location: Various settings across Cheshire East
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £130 – £150 per day (dependent on level of experience)
About the Role:
New Directions is seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and highly motivated Primary Teacher to provide day-to-day and long-term support across our educational settings in Cheshire East. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children by delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across multiple subjects, using the latest pedagogical approaches and evidence-based teaching strategies.
As a key member of the New Directions team, you will work in a variety of school environments, tailoring your teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners. You will play an active role in shaping the curriculum, contributing to school development, and embedding best practice in teaching and learning.

We are looking for a Primary Teacher who:
1. Is passionate about inspiring and engaging children across a range of subjects.
2. Has a strong understanding of learner-centered approaches, differentiation, and inclusive education.
3. Can effectively use formative and summative assessment to drive pupil progress.
4. Is adaptable, resilient, and confident in delivering lessons across different schools and year groups.
5. Has experience integrating cross-curricular learning, including sports or PE, into daily lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons using innovative and effective pedagogical strategies.
7. Ensure learning experiences are inclusive, engaging, and differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils.
8. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development in line with each school’s ethos.
9. Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, using data-informed insights to inform planning.
10. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to school improvement initiatives, and promote professional learning communities.
11. Adapt quickly to new settings, maintaining consistency and continuity in teaching across multiple schools.
12. Promote a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

Job Specification
We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.
As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:
17. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
18. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment

25. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
