Procurement Manager
Fixed term - Maternity Cover (14 months)
Head Office Edinburgh - Can be anywhere in Scotland
£50,000 (can be negotiated)
Morgan Hunt are delighted to be supporting our clients as they search for a Procurement Manager to support a leading organisation delivering large-scale, socially impactful programmes across Scotland.
This fixed-term role will take ownership of the organisation’s procurement activities - ensuring compliance, value for money, and effective management of contractual and supply chain risk.
This role could go to permanent due to potential company growth.
Key responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end procurement processes across multiple categories and service areas
* Develop and manage supplier relationships, driving performance and continuous improvement
* Oversee tendering, evaluation, and contract award activities in line with public-sector procurement regulations
* Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement and supplier-related risks to ensure resilience and continuity
* Provide expert advice to internal teams on procurement strategy, risk management, and compliance
* Support the organisation’s sustainability, ethical sourcing, and community benefit objectives
About you
* Proven experience in procurement or contract management, ideally within a regulated or public-sector environment
* Strong understanding of procurement frameworks, legislation, and risk management principles
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to analyse complex information and make informed, strategic decisions
* CIPS qualification (or working towards it) desirable
