Bids Tenders and Legal Directories Manager
Location: Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bolton, Southport, Newcastle, Reading, Birmingham, Northampton, and Cambridge. Hybrid working available – with the flexibility to work from home and collaborate in-office when needed.
Fletchers Solicitors is seeking a Bids, Tenders and Legal Directories Manager who thrives on detail, strategy, and turning opportunities into wins. You will lead the end-to-end bid and tender processes, shape our presence in leading legal directories and awards submissions, and drive how we tell our market-leading story.

Main Responsibilities
* Bids & Tenders
* Manage the end-to-end bid pitch process for panel appointments—from opportunity qualification to submission and debrief.
* Coordinate input from legal, finance, risk, and operational teams to ensure accurate, persuasive, and compliant submissions.
* Develop and maintain pitch library content, case studies, and team profiles to improve consistency and reduce turnaround time.
* Track and report pitch activity, win rates, and feedback to inform future strategy.
* Legal Directories, Rankings & Awards
* Lead the project management of submissions to Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, and other key legal directories.
* Coordinate and prepare entries for relevant legal industry and business awards—identifying opportunities that align with firm priorities and strategic service areas.
* Work with lawyers and marketing colleagues to develop high-quality, evidence-based submissions that showcase our impact, innovation and client care.
* Track success rates, gather feedback, and maintain an annual calendar of award opportunities and deadlines.
* Repurpose content and outcomes from awards and directory submissions into wider brand, PR or digital activity where appropriate.
* Collaboration & Strategic Alignment
* Work closely with practice area leads and lawyers to understand strengths, differentiators, and credentials.
* Collaborate with PR, brand, and marketing managers to repurpose directory, award or bid content into broader visibility or campaign initiatives.
* Ensure all bids and submissions align with our brand, tone of voice and go-to-market strategy
Essential Skills And Experience
* Proven experience managing bids, tenders or submissions in a legal or professional services environment.
* Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
* Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives from technical content.
* Highly organized and able to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
* Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and translating complex information into client-focused messaging.
Desirable Skills And Experience
* Knowledge of legal directories (Legal 500, Chambers & Partners) and award submission processes.
* Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. legal, healthcare, finance).
* Familiarity with CRM, bid management tools or shared content libraries.
* Understanding of legal panel processes or public sector procurement frameworks.
