How will you contribute?
1. Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager with responsibility for a team of Transport Clerks & Drivers.
2. Proactively motivating the team to achieve targets and deadlines by providing guidance and encouragement.
3. Ensuring the operation meets daily and weekly KPIs through effective use of the customer’s computerised Integrated Transport Management System.
4. Providing a quality first-class service to the customer and stores.
5. Operating within the legal constraints of the site operator’s licence.
6. Ensuring full compliance with legislation.
What will you bring?
* Experience working within a transport environment.
* Experience in a unionised environment is an advantage.
* Knowledge of computerised scheduling and driver management packages is an advantage.
* Understanding of transport driver targets and legislation.
* Excellent interpersonal and team management skills.
* Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and influence management to deliver high performance through accountability and ownership.
