Are you an experienced and highly organised professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role at the heart of local government? Preston City Council is seeking a Senior PA to the Chief Executive and Civics & Executive Support Team Leader to provide exceptional administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Executive and to lead our Executive Support Team.
This is a pivotal position where you will deliver a comprehensive PA and secretarial service to the Chief Executive, ensuring efficiency and confidentiality in addition to leading and motivating the Executive Support Team, ensuring high standards of service delivery. This unique role includes responsibility for organising and overseeing civic and mayoral events, including Remembrance Sunday, Mayor Making, and Armed Forces Day, as well as providing support for twinning partnerships and preparations for the Preston Guild 2032. To excel in this role, you will need to be able to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
If you have strong organisational and leadership skills with experience of managing a team, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with proven experience in providing high-level PA support in a complex environment and would relish the opportunity to play a key role in civic life and mayoral events in a vibrant city with a rich history then we would love to hear from you!
