At J Wallis Metals, we believe that exceptional customer service is the heart of a great brand. We're on the lookout for a friendly, proactive, and solution-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our growing team and help us deliver outstanding support to our valued customers. Duties to include: • Answering phone and taking messages. • Stock control • Ordering of Stock • Organising client records and keeping histories. • Deal with routine enquiries from the public, suppliers and staff • Receive and communicate messages • Clerical support in all areas of the business • Maintain records • Deal with routine correspondence • Work with due regard to health & safety requirements • General admin and maintaining tidiness in the shop • Meet and greet with customers and members of the public • The suitable candidate must be PC literate • Close work will be involved in this position • Good numeracy and English skills are required for this post. • Any other duties as requested by the placement supervisor, which will assist the trainee to complete the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Working week: 30 Hours per week, days of working, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Progression to Business Administrator Level 3 for the right person. Desired skills and qualities: • Basic Computer Skills Essential. • Good Organisational Skills. • Good Communication Skills both written and verbal. • Strong work ethic • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks • Be reliable and supportive to other areas within the company • Understand the Data Protection Act • Punctual & presentable • Friendly & outgoing • Ability to understand and prioritise work in accordance with order entry requirement • Good communication skills • Self-motivated, reliant, diligent, analytical and numerate • Ability to work effectively, under pressure to meet deadlines • Competent with Microsoft applications • You’re a fast learner and eager to learn new things in ecommerce, with a commitment to lifelong learning • You like the proposition of being a part of a rapidly growing retailer and want to be able to make a difference Qualifications desired: Maths and English GCSE at grade 4 or above or equivalent. Here at J Wallis Metals we are a registered end of life facility for cars (ELV) and authorised treatment facility (ATF).
