About the role

We are seeking passionate and skilled Detectives to join our esteemed Child Abuse Investigation Team. Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough and sensitive investigations into cases involving inter-familial and position of trust child abuse, where the child is under 18 at the time of reporting.
* Collaborate with a partner agencies including social workers, medical staff, and legal professionals, to secure the best outcome for the child.
* Consider and apply Achieving Best Evidence for interviews of victims and witnesses.
* Conduct challenging and considered interviews with suspects.
* Remain current with developments in child protection to ensure the best service is offered.
Qualifications and Skills
* Accredited Detective Constable – PIP2 qualified.
* Ability to handle sensitive and distressing situations with empathy and professionalism.
