New Directions Education is currently recruiting a Primary Teacher for a welcoming and supportive primary school on the Wirral. This is a fantastic part-time opportunity to join a brilliant team and teach across Year 2 and Year 3/4.
Start Date: January 2026
Days Required: Monday, Tuesday & Friday
Duration: Until February half-term, with strong likelihood of extension until April half-term
Location: Wirral
About the Role:
You will teach across two classes, Year 2 and a mixed Year 3/4, delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that support pupils’ progress and spark their enthusiasm for learning. The school offers a friendly team environment and excellent support for supply staff.
Key Responsibilities:
– Teaching pre-planned lessons in line with the school curriculum
– Providing a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment
– Supporting pupils of mixed abilities
– Working collaboratively with other staff members
– Managing behaviour in line with school policies
We’re Looking For:
– A qualified Primary Teacher (ECTs & experienced teachers welcome)
– Strong classroom management skills
– Experience teaching KS1 and/or lower KS2
– A proactive and flexible approach
– Someone reliable who can commit to the outlined days

Job Specification
We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.
As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:
1. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
2. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
3. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
4. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
5. Maintain discipline
6. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
7. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
8. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
9. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
