£44,000 basic salary plus benefits including company car
We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager for a long established & profitable business specialising in sub-contract laser cutting and folding of various non-ferrous sheet metals. This is a newly created role, reporting into the company director, and working closely with the rest of the business development team.
Responsibilities
* Researching & targeting potential new customers, specifically engineering, manufacturing and fabrication companies, corporate and SMEs.
* Making your own appointments with engineers, designers and buyers
* Writing visit reports, preparing quotations, forward planning next action.
* Planning your own diary including a weekly visit to the office, usually on a Friday.
* Focusing on securing individual order values in the region of £1,000-£10,000.
Qualifications
* Previous experience selling into engineering, manufacturing, fabrication companies.
* Knowledge of steel and engineering drawings.
* Strong business development pedigree.
* Self-starter and motivated individual.
* Good IT skills.
* Great communication and relationship building skills.
