Job Responsibilities
* Lead a culinary team to provide a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high‑quality culinary service that contributes to residents' overall well‑being.
* Prepare modified diets that are appealing, well‑balanced, and comply with IDDSI guidance.
* Supervise and direct the work of culinary staff, providing instruction and demonstration to unqualified staff on basic food preparation tasks.
* Ensure food handling principles are applied so all kitchen work meets the highest hygiene standards.
* Support all culinary team members in fully understanding the Avery Food Safety Management System.
Qualifications & Experience
* Hold a relevant catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2, NVQ, or equivalent.
* Have a minimum of 1 year of catering experience.
* Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high‑quality culinary services to residents.
* Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
Additional Requirements
* Successful completion of an ADBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
