Operations Co-Ordinator
Location: On-site - Redditch
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm / Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
The Opportunity
A family-owned business based in Redditch is seeking an Operations Co-Ordinatorto join their close-knit team. The successful candidate will work closely with and report directly to the Managing Director, gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of the business. The role is varied and hands-on, supporting customers from initial enquiry through to after-sales support, while also assisting with wider operational and administrative tasks.
This position would suit someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, getting involved, and developing their skills within a small team environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain clear and professional communication with customers via email and telephone regarding products, orders, and service requirements
2. Accurately process customer orders and generate relevant sales and operational documentation
3. Prepare quotations and follow up with customers as required
4. Advise customers on products and accessories, guiding them towards the most suitable solutions
5. Liaise with couriers and customers to ensure smooth deliveries and a positive customer experience
6. Investigate and resolve issues relating to delayed, lost, or missing parcels
7. Manage customer queries and complaints in a professional and solution-focused manner
8. Support day-to-day operational tasks across the business as required, including learning practical elements of the role
9. Work collaboratively across the team to support shared business objectives
Skills & Experience
Essential
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
11. Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
12. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure
13. Confident using computer systems and office-based software
14. A proactive and solutions-focused approach
Desirable
15. Experience in customer service, sales administration, or a retail/trade environment
16. Background within electrical wholesale, or a technical product-based business
17. Experience preparing quotations and processing orders
18. An interest in electronics
