We’re expanding our People Team and looking for an experienced, commercially focussed HR Business Partner to join a high-performing, forward-thinking team. Reporting to, and being second in charge to the Group Head of People, this hands on, operational roleprovides the opportunity to shape HR initiatives, support business growth, and influence culture across the organisation.
Based at either our Derby or Basildon office, this is a hybrid role, combining working from home with onsite attendance. This varied role blends strategy, operational delivery, and people engagement, giving you scope to make it your own.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Deputise for the Group Head of People as second in charge in their absence.
* Direct line management of HR team members
* Partner with leaders to support performance, engagement, and employee development.
* Manage employee relations cases with fairness, discretion, and practical solutions.
* Lead or support on HR projects including DEI initiatives, engagement surveys, and policy updates.
* Maintain policies and ensure compliance with UK employment law and financial sector standards.
* Support performance review cycles, manager training, onboarding, and induction.
* Analyse HR data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
* Act as a visible ambassador for company culture, wellbeing, and values.
About You
* Proven HR business partnering experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience managing HR projects and direct reports.
* Confident advising and coaching managers at all levels.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
* Commercially aware, proactive, and solutions-focused.
