Hours:35 Hours per weekClosing Date:Tue, 14 Apr 2026As a Senior Enterprise Architecture Manager, you will lead the Enterprise Architecture layer within Technology Services, shaping the Society's enterprise wide technology strategy, architecture principles, guardrails, capability maps and roadmaps. You will provide architectural coherence across Homes, Money, Enablement and TTR, ensuring the organisation moves in a unified strategic direction that supports simplification, automation and value flow. Acting as the practice lead for Enterprise Architecture, you will mature architectural capabilities, embed consistent decision making, and ensure solutions architecture seamlessly aligns to enterprise direction. You will also act as a deputy for the Director of Technology when required, supporting both Skipton and the wider Skipton Group. Who are we? Not just another building society. Not just another job. Enterprise Architecture Leadership Owning and maintaining enterprise wide architecture ensuring it is resilient, adaptable and futureproofed to support long term business evolution and regulatory change. Leading development of enterprise capability maps with a clear north star vision and 3–5 year maturity horizons. Embedding future ready design principles that avoid lock in, reduce fragility and ensure scalability across platforms, data and applications. Ensuring enterprise architecture fully supports the TTR vision of automation, reduced handoffs and increased flow efficiency. Strategic Alignment & Governance Governing architectural alignment across all business areas to reinforce organisational coherence and corporate plan outcomes. Identifying legacy patterns, duplication and technical debt, defining transition architectures and sequenced migration paths. Establishing enterprise guardrails, ref erence models and approved patterns for faster and higher quality decision making. Chairing or cochairing Enterprise Architecture governance forums, ensuring transparent and timely decisions. Strategic Delivery & Prioritisation Playing a central role in prioritisation forums such as LPM, Platform Councils and Strategy & Roadmap Planning. Ensuring decisions support both near term delivery and long term enterprise direction. Shaping transitional architectures that enable phased delivery, minimise disruption and maintain momentum. Leadership of Architecture Community Leading, coaching and mentoring Enterprise, Solutions and Lead Architects to build capability and a consistent architectural approach. Championing an aligned architecture community across TTR, embedding standards and shared learning. Maintaining a forward looking view of emerging technologies and integrating innovations into future roadmaps. Collaboration & Enterprise Influence Partnering with ExCo, Directors, Platform Owners, Heads of Change, Engineering and IT to shape strategic decisions. Ensuring enterprise design cohesion across business, data, integration, application and technology architectures. Owning decision frameworks for SaaS vendor selection aligned to capability maps, interoperability and resilience. Ensuring architectural artefacts remain accessible, high quality and linked directly to corporate plan priorities. What do we need from you? Knowledge, skills & experience Extensive senior experience in enterprise or chief architecture roles within complex organisations. Proven track record leading largescale transformation programmes and maturing architecture capability. Ability to influence ExCo and executive leaders with strong strategic communication skills. Deep expertise in architectural modelling, conceptual thinking and simplifying complex problems. Experience governing architecture across multiple business domains and value streams. Strong facilitation, negotiation and decision making skills in complex environments. Demonstrated ability to develop and lead large architecture communities. Behaviours Strategic thinker with a natural learning mindset. Influential and credible at executive level, acting as a trusted advisor. Inspirational leader who motivates teams and models thought leadership. Collaborative, pragmatic and outcome focused with strong ownership of enterprise direction.
