Dumbarton Academy has a permanent vacancy for a full-time Home Economics teacher commencing August 2025.

Evidence of Catholic Church Approval: Applicants must seek Catholic Church approval when submitting their application and provide a copy to the Chair of the Panel prior to the interview. If approval is pending, confirmation of submission will be sought from the Church Representative.

Responsibilities
This post is considered regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Membership with the PVG scheme is essential, and preferred applicants will be required to join or update their PVG membership before a formal offer is made. Employment is exempt from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975; therefore, applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones. Failure to disclose could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
