Job Role: Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef, you will assist in running an efficient and profitable kitchen, using quality ingredients to inspire flavourful menus and prepare attractive food.
What will I be doing?
As a Sous Chef at The Mole, you will perform tasks and follow instructions given by the Head or Senior Chef. You are responsible for maintaining your kitchen station and equipment throughout your shift, showing willingness to progress and deliver customer satisfaction through the dishes you prepare. Your responsibilities include:
1. Ordering quality fresh and frozen food for daily and specific needs.
2. Assisting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality products to our guests.
3. Supporting and developing the chef team.
4. Maintaining the kitchen area and ensuring all stations and utensils are hygienic.
5. Preparing and envisioning varying menus, with some changing daily.
6. Delivering speedy service while ensuring food quality and presentation.
7. Considering portion control to minimize waste.
8. Understanding and complying with Health and Safety legislation, including Food Safety, fire precautions, and legal requirements.
9. Establishing relationships with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure excellent service to our guests.
