Broster Buchanan are supporting an exciting and growing retail business in the search for a Senior Financial Accountant with strong IFRS and external reporting experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA-qualified second-time mover looking to step into a high-visibility, technically focused role within a dynamic finance team.
The Role
You’ll take the lead on statutory reporting, technical accounting, and month-end close processes, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information. This is a role with real impact, offering broad exposure across the finance function and the chance to influence ongoing improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead preparation of statutory accounts and manage external financial reporting under IFRS
* Own month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines
* Support consolidated group reporting and internal performance insights
* Act as a key contact for external auditors and resolve technical queries
* Provide IFRS technical guidance to the wider finance team
* Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements
* Contribute to finance transformation and system enhancement projects
About You
* Recognised accountancy qualification ACCA/ACA/CIMA
* Strong technical accounting skills with proven IFRS experience
* Experience preparing or auditing statutory accounts
* Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator, able to simplify complex accounting matters for non-finance teams
