Job description
MEP Design Manager needed to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves working with a focus on MEP, fire, and security systems and requires attendance at the central London office 2-3 days a week. You will report into the Design Engineering Manager and coordinate with teams from architecture and structural disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tracking RIBA Stage 3-5 design deliverables
2. Performing gap analyses to ensure project completeness and compliance
3. Developing package listings or Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs)
4. Structuring project programmes using Primavera P6
5. Coordinating with architectural and structural teams to ensure cohesive design integration
6. Managing the design process to ensure all client requirements and specifications are met
7. Providing expert advice and guidance on MEP design issues
8. Overseeing the design documentation to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy
Job Requirements:
9. Experience in design management with a bias towards MEP systems
10. Knowledge of substation and rail sector design requirements
11. Proficiency in project management software, specifically Primavera P6
12. Strong analytical skills to perform effective gap analyses
13. Excellent coordination and team management abilities
14. Ability to develop and manage Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs)
15. Experience in tracking and managing RIBA Stage 3-5 design deliverables
16. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with various teams
