Graduate Behaviour Assistant

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract: Temporary with potential to become permanent
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a nurturing, structured environment?
We are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist provision supporting pupils aged 5–19 who require an alternative to mainstream schooling due to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and behavioural difficulties. This setting provides a highly personalised, therapeutic environment with small classes focused on helping learners build confidence, resilience, and life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and associated behavioural challenges
•Assist with structured classroom activities, emotional regulation strategies, and life skills development
•Work closely with teachers, therapists, and specialist staff to support pupil wellbeing and progress
•Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
What We're Looking For:
•Experience working with pupils with SEMH, ASD, or challenging behaviours is highly desirable
•A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour management
•Strong communication and teamworking skills
•A genuine commitment to inclusive education and supporting vulnerable young people
