Custody Engagement & Diversion Keyworker
35 Hour Contracts x 2. Starting salary from £27,000 pa.

Police Custody Suites in Ystrad Mynach and Bridgend.
Overview
We are looking for two full‑time Custody Engagement and Diversion Keyworkers to work within Police Custody Suites in Bridgend and Ystrad Mynach on permanent contracts. The role involves early identification and day‑to‑day support and engagement, triage and continuity of care for women and young adults (18‑25), enabling them to engage in community‑based support services addressing individual needs.
Responsibilities
* Work within police custody providing early identification and on‑day support and engagement, triage and continuity of care for women and young adults.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships within police and custody units, promoting the service and working with the police to divert women and young adults into the One Wales service.
* Undertake cell sweeps and engagement with all women and young adults (18‑25).
* Support women and young adults in accessing wider support for housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & families and education, training and employment, aiming to reduce social harms and re‑offending while empowering them to reach their full potential.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Both roles are subject to Enhanced DBS Checks and Enhanced Level 1 Vetting.

Salary & Contract
£27,000 to £29,000 per year. Permanent – Full‑time.
