Role Purpose
To develop and grow Castrol Classic Oils' retail and distribution presence in the UK, through strategic account management, commercial negotiation, and data-driven business planning. The role will transition our presence from a niche distributor to a valued, structured partner across centralised retail environments.
As a small, specialist team with a global brand licence, we offer a unique opportunity to make a visible impact. This is a commercially focused role with the scope and autonomy you might not find in a larger organisation. The right candidate will be equally comfortable negotiating with national buyers and getting hands-on with implementation.
Key Accountabilities
· Manage key national and regional motor factor accounts across the UK
· Develop and grow key retail accounts
· Proactively prospect and engage new retailer & distribution targets, supporting long-term growth of the key account base
· Build and maintain relationships with head office buyers, planners, and category teams
· Deliver joint business plans including pricing, promotions, and product mix
· Use sales and category data to drive insights and growth recommendations
· Collaborate with marketing, logistics, and customer service teams to meet customer objectives
· Support product launches and manage product listings
· Provide regular reporting and updates to the General Manager
· Attend relevant trade shows and account-facing events to represent the brand
Person Specification
Experience
· Proven experience managing national or key retail accounts
· Experience working with purchasing/category/merchandising teams
· Track record of negotiating pricing, promotions, and commercial terms
· Familiarity with trade marketing, promotional planning, and range review processes is desirable

· Strong communicator with excellent presentation and influencing skills
· Commercially astute and analytically minded
· Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities
· Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally
· Confident using CRM and reporting tools
