Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Chef based in Ilkley. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, developing menus, ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes, managing inventory and supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The Head Chef will also lead and train kitchen staff, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and contribute to innovative culinary ideas to enhance the restaurant's offerings.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in a professional kitchen, including experience as a Head Chef.
* Strong culinary skills, including Italian cuisine, menu development, and food plating.
* Leadership and team-management skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff.
* Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
* Inventory management and cost control experience.
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
* A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
