A standout opportunity has arisen for an experienced contentious construction lawyer (5+ PQE) to join the highly regarded Construction team of this international law firm in the City of London. The Team
Construction is a core strength of the firm, with the contentious construction group having a pretty formidable reputation.
The national team advises both public and private sector developers, contractors, consultants and housing providers and in London, the team works closely with the real estate department, advising on major domestic projects and, where opportunities arise, on international disputes.
The practice handles a broad range of contentious matters across all major contract forms (JCT, NEC, ICE, FIDIC, PPC, GC Works), as well as PFI and bespoke agreements.
The Role
As a Senior Associate in the London team, you will take on a varied and high-quality caseload, working on significant disputes and helping clients manage risk across complex projects.
Typical work includes:
* ADR including adjudication, mediation and litigation
* Dispute avoidance/risk management
* Professional negligence claims
* High-value disputes relating to Building Safety Act
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a qualified solicitor with 5+ years' experience in contentious construction law, ideally gained in a leading City, international, or highly regarded national practice.
You will also:
* Have experience of all forms of dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration (domestic or international), and adjudication
* In-depth knowledge of JCT, NEC, and FIDIC
* Experience in disputes for prominent developers
