Date posted: 31 December 2025 Pay: From £35,000.00 per year Job Description: Crown Chicken Ltd (part of Cranswick PLC) is looking for a committed and experienced Poultry Breeding Fieldsperson. Job Summary A Breeder Fieldsperson is responsible for visiting allocated farms and reporting flock updates to the Regional Managers and Senior Management, A Breeder Fieldsperson will also provide Farm cover as required ensuring the day to day management of allocated farms, they will ensure that the stock is produced to the highest standard and all staff on the farms maintain safe working practices. General Responsibilities: Manage the farms to ensure that bird welfare is never compromised. Manage and monitor ventilation, heating, feed, water, litter and lighting within the agreed standards, ensuring the highest quality conditions are provided. Communicate with the Breeder Regional Manager ensuring that information is provided promptly and accurately. Responsible for covering allocated alarms, ensuring that they are operational and any faults rectified immediately Delivery of necessary supplies to the allocated farms Ensure that Site Security is maintained at all times, and report any issues. Flexible approach will be necessary as this role will necessitate working at weekends with early morning and late evening work. Undertake any other duties as required to fulfil the needs of the position. Requirements, Experience & Person Spec: Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent to safe working procedures. Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting. Level 3 Agricultural Apprenticeship- or willingness to gain.
