32 hours per week, 4/5 days (dependent on business needs)
Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
Working with Clients
1. Be the friendly first point of contact for conference and event enquiries
2. Help clients plan their events from initial enquiry to the final farewell
3. Conduct hotel show rounds and build strong relationships with guests
4. Spot opportunities to enhance events with upgrades and added services
5. Support the sales office team with enquiries, bookings and administration tasks
Planning & Coordination
6. Assist in planning meetings, conferences and events of all sizes
7. Coordinate room layouts, catering, timings and AV requirements
8. Prepare clear event details and share them with hotel teams
Event Delivery
9. Be visible and hands-on during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly
10. Work closely with food & beverage, kitchen and front office teams
11. Quickly and confidently handle any last-minute changes or guest requests
Learning & Development
12. Gain experience using hotel booking and event management systems
13. Develop strong organisational, communication and sales skills
14. Receive on-the-job training and support from experienced colleagues

Essential
15. A positive attitude and willingness to learn
16. Strong communication and customer service skills
17. Good organisation and attention to detail
18. Confidence working with people and as part of a team
19. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
20. Previous experience in an events/hotel role
Desirable (But Not Essential)
21. Previous experience in hospitality, events or customer service
22. IT confidence (training provided on systems)
23. Experience using BackYou/Opera Cloud
