The Kanthal Product Area specialises in heating alloys, elements, modules and systems for industrial heating and high temperature applications. Primary markets are the semiconductor, solar, glass, chemical and petrochemical industries.

We are now looking for a Finance Business Partner, based in Perth, to provide efficient handling of the general accounting, statutory accounting, taxation and treasury activities for three reporting entities within the UK. Along with ensuring compliance and supporting the Board of Directors and Management Teams, in all matters of statutory and financial awareness.
Your role
Working alongside our experienced Finance team, your key statutory accounts responsibilities will include: -
* Creation and production of annual statutory accounts under IFRS (& FRS101) for Alleima Limited.
* Coordination and production of tax packs. Liaise with external tax advisors in CT600 filing.
* Liaise with external audit team and lead the annual audited accounts process.
* Interpretation and implementation of new / revised financial reporting standards, including providing training to the finance team.
Other responsibilities will include: -
* Liaise and manage with HMRC in the production, completion and filing of CT600, payroll returns including class 1A National Insurance and PSA.
* Responsible for completion and submission of Quarterly VAT return.
* Delivery of internal control process in line with Alleima Group requirements, provide support and guidance to site staff. Promote the RACM framework to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Lead and submission of the monthly management accounting reporting process including tax computation estimates, accruals and prepayments, journal preparation, and postings.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations including identification of risk and corrective action.
* Lead the annual local insurance renewal process including claims submission. Liaise with external brokers as required.
* Deputise where required for the Head of Finance
About you
Ideally you will have a relevant degree in Finance or Business Management or are qualified or are working towards Professional Finance Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. We will also consider QBE with suitable relevant experience. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in either practice or in the finance department of an SME or global company. Knowledge of statutory accounts production under IFRS (& IRFS101) and UK taxation rules would be an advantage.
