Safety, Health and Environment Advisor (268283869)
Location: Tutbury, England. Sector: Health & Safety. Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum. Benefits: enhanced pension, benefits and bonus.
Job Role: Provide safety, health and support alongside an experienced SHE Manager (also based on site). This position is suitable for an experienced Health Safety and Environment coordinator, officer or advisor who can hit the ground running for this large, well-established, 24/7 manufacturing site.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Location: Tutbury, Burton on Trent.
Main Responsibilities
* To be responsible for supporting the SHE Manager in all aspects of health, safety and environment across the site, covering for the Manager when required.
* Be a valued person within an established HSE team, who can be visible and approachable across the site and bring innovative and forward-thinking ideas to the table.
* Establish trusted relationships with the community and external stakeholders.
* Support incident investigations & reporting as required, helping to provide root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Enhance current compliance levels by supporting the maintenance of the factory SHE Management systems, including maintaining ISO14001, ISO50001 and ISO45001 certification, with a focus on safety and health compliance and proactive management.
* Collaborate across departments, specifically working closely with different teams to ensure compliance and highlight areas of improvement to enhance SHE across the site.
* Implement & develop site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in SHE performance.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health and Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Level 3).
* General engineering, manufacturing or logistics background, preferably in high‑risk industries such as FMCG (food & drink, paper, packaging, tobacco, dairy, etc.).
