Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drama/performing arts, and experience with young children. As a Drama Practitioner, you will facilitate our pre-planned workshops, lead classes, and create an inclusive environment that fosters creativity and self-expression through drama. The job offers flexibility and a range of hours that have the potential to grow.
Duties
* Design and deliver engaging drama workshops in nurseries, schools and childcare settings, tailored to their various age groups and skill levels.
* Incorporate elements of singing, dancing and acting into sessions to enhance participants' performance skills and confidence.
* Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages communication and collaboration among participants.
Must-haves:
* Experience in drama or the performing arts.
* Experience in teaching and/or childcare.
* A full, clean driving license. (Or accessibility to lifts to each shift).
* Strong public speaking skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and inspire others.
* Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with participants, parents, and colleagues.
* A genuine passion for the performing arts and a commitment to nurturing talent in others. If you are enthusiastic about drama and have the skills to inspire others, we would love to hear from you
Non-essential, but beneficial:
* Experience in dance or physical theatre
* Experience in singing
* Experience in storytelling
* A variety of availability, in case you are needed to cover classes
* A DBS on the update service.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance
Pay: £20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
