Midland Care Home is the latest addition to the Hampton Healthcare portfolio offering general care, specialist care for those with dementia or physical disability and nursing care. Our team strive to provide the best possible care to ensure that the complex needs of our residents are met and exceeded at all times.
Hours
Hours are mostly 8am – 2pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Part‑time hours: 33.5 per week.
Responsibilities
* Vacuuming of rooms and corridors and emptying all waste bins.
* Cleaning the glass and mirrors.
* Dusting/wiping of all room surfaces including paintwork.
* Removing of cobwebs.
* Walking and mopping of floor surfaces.
* Cleaning toilets and bathrooms.
* Clean areas assigned.
* Shampoo carpets to ensure rooms are odour free.
* Report any maintenance concerns to the appropriate person.
* Keep cleaning store clean and tidy at all times.
* Keep cleaning materials stored safely.
* Ensure cleaning materials are never left unattended.
* Ensure all CoSHH and H&S (including risk assessments) guidelines are followed at all times.
* Ensure deep cleaning of rooms is carried out monthly.
* Maintain stock control.
* Ensure all necessary documentation is accessible, up to date and completed promptly, including MSDSs.
* Receive and sort clothes and linen.
* Respect the residents’ clothing by not mixing items and wash, dry and iron as per item instructions.
* Soiled items should be kept in their red bags.
* Operate washers and dryers in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
* Use recommended quantities of products.
* Fold, wrap or hang all completed laundry.
* Ironing is to be done daily and must be reported to most senior on duty with reasons if not complete.
* All named residents’ laundry should be placed in their drawer using trolley provided.
* All linen should be placed in linen cupboards.
* Make necessary minor repairs eg missing buttons and tears, to items before returning.
* All clothes/items should be named before going into residents’ laundry drawers.
* Report all concerns/maintenance issues to Manager on duty immediately.
* Stock check of all materials should be done regularly and ordered promptly.
* Follow and complete the open up and close down procedures.
* Follow the laundry procedures.
* Maintain laundry area in a clean and orderly manner.
