We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on a major commercial construction project. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee mechanical installation works, ensure high quality delivery, and support successful project completion within programme and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation activities on site.
* Manage and monitor mechanical subcontractors and direct labour teams.
* Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
* Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to plan and coordinate works.
* Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, consultants, and other trades to maintain programme delivery.
* Monitor progress against project schedules and identify potential delays or issues.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
* Assist with commissioning activities and project handover documentation.
* Attend site meetings and provide progress reports to senior management.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor within commercial construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework, plumbing, and mechanical building services installations.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Good understanding of construction health and safety regulations.
* Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades on live construction sites.
* Relevant mechanical trade qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent.
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred.
* CSCS card required.
