About the Role
We are seeking a highly reliable and observant Site Liaison for a critical 2-month contract based entirely on-site at a world-class medical device manufacturing facility in Plymouth.
In this role, you will act as the vital on-site link between the delivery teams and the Project Manager during a key facility upgrade. You will monitor progress, supervise contractors, and ensure communication flows smoothly while maintaining the high standards expected in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Site Coordination & Liaison
* Act as the primary on-site point of contact between external contractors/engineers and the Project Manager.
* Monitor progress on specialized Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installations within a manufacturing facility.
* Please note: You are not expected to direct, manage, or instruct the engineers on technical matters; your role is to observe, document, and report back on their progress.
Reporting & Compliance Monitoring
* Provide regular, accurate updates to the Project Manager regarding project milestones, timeline tracking, or potential delays.
* Ensure contractors strictly adhere to the facility’s stringent health, safety, and protocols, flagging any concerns immediately to management.
Material Handling & Ad-Hoc Support
* Assist with moving products, materials, or equipment safely around the site as required, respecting the facility’s zoning rules.
* Perform various ad-hoc tasks to support the smooth running of the installation project.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience: Previous experience working on-site within a regulated environment (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, electronics, or aerospace) is highly desirable but not essential.
* Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be comfortable interfacing between technical contractors and engineering management.
* Attributes: Exceptionally reliable, observant, and detail-oriented. Must be comfortable with light physical tasks, including moving products around the site.
* Flexibility: Full commitment to the 2-month duration, including the 6-day work weeks throughout August.
