An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intelligence Analyst to join our Research and Analysis (R&A) team to support our South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).
The purpose of the role is to provide high‑level analytical support to senior operational police officers to assist in the prevention, targeting, disruption and detection of crime. As an analyst you will use analytical techniques to create intelligence products that inform strategic and tactical planning, in line with the National Intelligence Model, and support managerial, operational and investigative decision‑making.
To perform your job well, you will map out the full intelligence picture clearly and concisely so investigative teams can direct their time and resources effectively. You will make recommendations to drive business activity, assess threat harm and risk, ultimately disrupting crime and safeguarding the vulnerable.
Qualifications: experience producing analytical reports using communications data records, advanced IT skills (including Excel), proven research skills, problem‑solving ability, and confidence to work independently under pressure to support fast‑time operational needs.
Flexibility and travel: you must be willing to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand, including occasional work away from home and travel across the region and sometimes further afield.
Security: passing and maintaining vetting level SC and enhanced security checks is required. Applicants must have resided in the UK for the past five years (exemptions may apply for overseas diplomatic service or studying abroad).
