Job summary
We are seeking recent graduates or soon-to-be graduates for a Band 5 Physiotherapist position. The successful candidate will join our Therapies team at Luton & Dunstable Hospital, providing high-quality patient care across various specialties.
This role involves four monthly rotations in areas such as medical respiratory (including ITU and HDU), acute paediatrics, outpatient services, Emergency Care, Acute Medicine, orthopaedics/surgery, neurology, and complex medical wards. The service operates 7 days a week, including weekends and late shifts.
Ideal candidates are eager to learn, organized, and team-oriented. Support is provided by friendly, knowledgeable colleagues. The department encourages active participation in service development and evaluation.
We consider part-time and return-to-practice applicants. Please note that interviews will be face-to-face due to practical assessments.
Essential: Acute NHS experience.
Main duties of the job
1. Perform therapeutic assessments for patients with diverse physical and psychological conditions, establishing diagnoses and developing individualized treatment plans.
2. Manage own caseload and work independently within a designated ward or area, with support from senior physiotherapists as needed.
3. Carry out all clinical duties autonomously.
4. Supervise work experience students, maintaining confidentiality.
5. Participate in audit and research activities to enhance clinical practice and service quality.

* Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy (or completing)
* HCPC registration
* CPD evidence
