Rephad Nursery is seeking a Nursery Nurse to fill a vacancy. You will be required to work 14 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (working Tuesday and Wednesday). This post is fixed term for 1 year and may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying.
Rephad Nursery caters to children aged 2-5 years old. We aim to provide an enriching, nurturing environment both indoors and outdoors to promote children's independence and curiosity.
Applicants should be educated to SCQF level 7 in Social Services, Children & Young People, HNC Childhood Practice, or equivalent. The successful candidate will adapt quickly to meet the educational and social needs of pupils and will actively participate in curriculum development, following school policies on learning and pupil assessment. Collaboration with staff, colleagues in other establishments, agencies, and regular consultation with parents and carers is essential.
Our nursery operates between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm, and working patterns will meet the service's needs.
Applicants must hold a qualification enabling registration with The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Practitioner of Day Care Children's Services without conditions. All successful applicants will be required to register with the SSSC within 3 months.
This role is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the PVG Scheme. Candidates will need to join or update their PVG scheme prior to employment.
Applicants resident outside the UK within the last 5 years must provide a police record check from the relevant authorities in their country of residence.
