Catering Assistant - Part time, 15 hours a week (10:45 - 14:15), Term Time Only, plus 3 INSET days; Fixed Term to July 2026
Grade 14 - £24,404-£25,183 Full Time Equivalent; Pro-rata starting salary of £8,385 P.A.
Nailsea School is looking for a Catering Assistant to join it's in-house catering team. This is a part-time position, to support the general running of the catering operations, working flexibly across the team as required, undertaking general tasks associated within the department, such as operating tills, clearing/cleaning, washing up, restocking display cabinets etc.

Normal working hours will be 10:45am to 2.15pm during school term time (includes 30 minutes unpaid lunch break), although some flexibility on working times may be required at times to fulfil the role and meet the needs of the school. No formal previous experience is required, although this is desirable. There is an expectation that all members of the catering team will achieve their Level 2 certificate in Food Hygiene, which the school will fund. A uniform will be provided, along with any necessary training.
