Neonatal Sister - 24 hours per week.
Are you passionate about caring for pre‑term and vulnerable babies?
We have a well‑established Neonatal team providing care from 27 weeks gestation. The unit capacity comprises 1 IC, 3 HD and 9 SC cots. In line with the North West Neonatal Operation Delivery Network, we provide short‑term Intensive Care for up to 48 hours. We have access to 3 tertiary Level III Neonatal Units within Greater Manchester, fully supported by Connect North West.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the shift co‑ordinator providing clinical and managerial leadership.
* Provide support to the shift co‑ordinator when needed.
* Provide specialist clinical input into the neonatal team.
* Supervise staff and students, supporting their clinical educational needs.
* Participate in the development of neonatal services, acting as a positive role model.
* Act in a manner consistent with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and Trust policies.
Key Qualifications & Experience
* Band 5 experience, with commitment to continuous professional development.
* Evidence of competence in QIS, mentorship, NLS and other relevant certifications.
* Excellent clinical, communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently, lead teams and work well under pressure.
* Experience of teaching and assessing practice; active mentor.
