Want to be part of a once-in-a-generation transformation at one of the North’s leading museums?
Tullie is looking for a highly organised and motivated Project Development Manager to help drive forward the next stage of our ambitious capital redevelopment programme, Project Tullie. This major programme will reimagine the museum, placing community at its heart and enabling more people to engage with our nationally significant collections.
This is a crucial role in the Project Tullie team, focused on developing the business case and preparing for procurement and delivery of onward phases. You’ll work closely with the Head of Strategy and Capital Programme and external consultants to deliver a high-quality, fundable scheme that supports our long-term vision and strategic aims.
If you have experience managing complex projects, developing briefs, coordinating consultants, and producing robust business cases or funding applications, we’d love to hear from you.
Purpose of the Role
As Project Development Manager, you will:
* Support the development of the business case and strategic planning for onward phases of Project Tullie.
* Lead the development of briefs and manage procurement of external services (e.g. design, QS, access).
* Coordinate consultants, review outputs, and ensure delivery to scope, budget and timescales.
* Gather, analyse and manage data for project planning and funding.
* Support reporting and communication for internal governance and external funders.
* Ensure effective project documentation, risk management, and evaluation processes.
This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in shaping a landmark capital project for Carlisle and Cumbria, contributing to cultural renewal and economic impact for the region.
