SEN Teaching Assistant
* Location: Plymouth
* Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
* Salary: £95 per day
Join a welcoming primary school as an SEN Teaching Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dedicated, and eager to help students access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
* Assist the class teacher with differentiated learning activities.
* Support emotional regulation and behaviour management.
* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Help create an inclusive learning environment that fosters learning and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working with children with SEN, whether in a school or care setting is desirable.
* A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to student interaction.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff.
* Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
