Salary: £112,500 - 125,000 per year Requirements: We require active UK Government SC Clearance at the time of application; eligibility or lapsed SC clearance is not acceptable. We are looking for an intermediate cyber security professional with ideally 1-2 years of experience in a SOC, security monitoring, or incident response role. You should have a solid grasp of computer networks, operating systems, and core cybersecurity principles. You should have good working knowledge of security technologies such as network/application firewalls, host intrusion prevention, and antivirus software. You should understand common attack vectors, malware types, and incident response fundamentals. You must be ready to start full-time, 40 hours per week. You must be able to work from anywhere in the UK and have a minimum of 5 years continuous UK address history for SC clearance purposes. Responsibilities: We monitor security dashboards and respond to real-time alerts. We investigate anomalies, distinguish false alarms from genuine threats, and escalate critical incidents when needed. We propose tuning requests to improve alert accuracy. We produce clear threat reports. We maintain awareness of the latest global cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and malware attack vectors. We work as part of a collaborative security operations team to protect critical networks from emerging threats.
