Responsibilities
* Teaching, training and assessing learners in Electrical Installations (Level 2 and above).
* Delivering to serving Cat D prisoners released on temporary licence from Standford Hill Prison.
* Supporting learners to develop industry skills that can transform their opportunities after release.
* Designing, delivering and evaluating engaging study programmes.
* Inspiring students through your industry knowledge and experience.

* Note: there are two salary scale points for our Lecturer positions. All candidates will start at the introductory salary scale point unless certain criteria are met. Lecturers will normally move up to the highest salary scale once one full academic year of teaching for our group is complete. (Lecturers must be in post by 1st September in any given year to qualify and this is subject to approval). Therefore, internal applicants in the same role may qualify for the higher salary scale, although should seek clarification.
Qualifications and requirements
* Qualified electrician with solid knowledge of Level 2 Electrical Installations (and above).
* Strong communicator, able to motivate and engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
* No teaching qualification required - just your expertise, patience and passion to share.
* Highly organised and creative, able to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons.
* Skilled in using strong interpersonal skills to inspire and connect with learners.
* Confident in assessing, tracking and planning interventions to ensure every student achieves their potential.
* Able to maintain positive classroom management and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
* Motivated to teach and support a range of study programmes from Level 1 to Level 2, helping learners succeed in their qualifications.
* Ideally, you will have experience of teaching or delivering training in the workplace (though this isn\'t essential).
* Bring a positive outlook, empathy, and resilience to support and motivate learners effectively.
* Be eager to develop as a teacher - full training and support will be provided for the successful applicant.
