We are looking for a talented Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias to join a growing, forward‑thinking manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias to work with cutting‑edge machinery in a modern production environment and play a key role in maintaining high operational standards.
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias, you will initially be based at the Leigh site for training before transitioning to a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art facility in Warrington.
The Role
This hands‑on position is ideal for a proactive and experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving automated production equipment while ensuring minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and troubleshoot automated processing machinery
* Carry out electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs
* Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns
* Support planned maintenance and continuous improvement activities
Essential Requirements:
o Completed recognised apprenticeship with ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
o Proven experience in industrial maintenance
o Strong electrical fault‑finding skills with mechanical competence
o Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment
o Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
o Good IT skills, including CMMS and Microsoft Office
Desirable:
o Level 3 Mechanical qualification
o Stable work history demonstrating long‑term commitment
