Role Summary
The Repairs & Tooling Coordinator supports the Assets & Technical, Logistics & Stores, Purchasing, and Operations teams onshore, as well as assisting the Commercial and offshore ROV teams with tooling requirements. The role involves overseeing the procurement and management of goods, materials, and services to ensure operational needs are met, considering cost, quality, and delivery to maintain supply continuity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manage all ROVOP-owned ROV tooling, maintaining records on calibration, servicing, repair, and storage using ROVOP’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
2. Maintain and update the repair register within the IMS.
3. Liaise between offshore ROV, Operations, Logistics, and Assets & Technical teams regarding equipment returning for repair, off-hire, or servicing.
4. Ensure all equipment repairs are logged, tagged, and distributed appropriately.
5. Review defect reports of returned equipment, coordinate repairs, and manage stock procurement as needed.
6. Track repairs with third-party vendors and expedite related purchase orders.
7. Monitor hire equipment from suppliers and internal stock, coordinating with Purchasing, Commercial, and Operations on hire dates and discrepancies.
8. Inspect incoming and outgoing hire equipment using ROVOP’s processes and check sheets, reporting discrepancies.
9. Obtain RMAs or order references from vendors and issue Purchase Orders accordingly.
10. Assist with ROV system and base inventories, updating data in the IMS for tooling owned, hired, or under repair.
11. Coordinate with Logistics, Stores, and Workshop teams on deliveries and collections of tooling.
12. Regularly evaluate third-party vendors on service quality, pricing, and value.
About You
Candidates should have prior experience with equipment repairs and handling ROV tooling in a workshop environment, including dealings with third-party vendors and a general understanding of ROV system tooling. Experience operating a forklift for small operations is desirable.
