Overview
Primary Teaching Assistant – Forest of Dean, GL15. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Roles: Full-time and part-time opportunities available. Pay: £89 per day, based on experience and qualifications. This role is initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Axcis Education is working with a school in the Forest of Dean that offers spaces such as a Forest School and a specialised SEND Resource Base, where children can flourish through nature-based and individualised learning. We are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant who is empathetic, resilient and eager to work with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with ASD or SEND is highly desirable.
* Patient, reliable and adaptable with a caring, supportive attitude.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to manage and support students with challenging behaviour in a calm and proactive manner.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience in nurseries, colleges, youth clubs, residential or care homes
* Personal experience (SEND)
* Graduates in sociology, psychology, sports, music, art, or drama are also welcome
