We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious 16 tonne forklift driver to handle the operation of heavy-duty forklifts in our production yard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving, loading, and unloading large materials efficiently while adhering to all safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a 16 tonne forklift safely and efficiently to move heavy materials and equipment.
Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas with precision.
Inspect forklifts before and after use to ensure they are in safe working condition; report any defects or issues promptly.
Organize materials in designated storage areas to maximize space and accessibility.
Follow all safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation.
Assist with general warehouse or site duties as required.
Maintain accurate records of loads moved and equipment usage
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding workflow and safety.
Requirements
Valid forklift operator certification/license, specifically for heavy-duty forklifts (16 tonne capacity).
Proven experience operating a 16 tonne forklift or similar heavy equipment.
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to forklift operation.
Good physical condition and ability to operate machinery for extended periods.
Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic record-keeping and communication skills.
Working Conditions
Work performed in warehouses, construction sites, or industrial environments.
Exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions if outdoors.
Ability to work flexible hours depending on project needs.
