Purchasing Assistant - Food Manufacturing – Hybrid / Stockport - £30,000

Were looking for a Purchasing Assistant to support a busy procurement team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Its a role for someone who enjoys organisation and likes working with data.
The role
Youll work closely with the Purchasing Manager, helping to keep suppliers, forecasts, contracts, and product information organised and up to date.
No two days are likely to look exactly the same.
One minute youll be updating forecasts, the next youll be helping launch a new ingredient, supporting a tender process, or investigating why a suppliers pricing doesnt quite add up.
Youll be:
* Supporting procurement projects and tender activity
* Managing supplier specifications and approvals
* Maintaining contracts and purchasing data within the MRP system
* Producing stock cover and forecasting reports
* Working closely with Technical, NPD, Planning and Operations teams
What theyre looking for
* Strong administration skills
* Good Excel and IT skills
* Previous experience within purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or food manufacturing would be beneficial
