Role: Procurement Manager – Renewable Energy Projects (UK)
Role Summary
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager to join a leading IPP in the UK
The IPP is rapidly expanding its portfolio of utility-scale solar and storage projects, with a strong pipeline.
This role will focus on sourcing and contracting key equipment (solar PV, batteries), construction services (EPC, BoP), and O&M providers, ensuring best value and compliance with UK standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for utility-scale solar and, storage, and hybrid projects in the UK.
* Lead, vendor selection, and contract negotiations for major components such as modules, inverters, and batteries.
* Manage supplier relationships with EPCs, OEMs, and service providers across the UK
* Ensure procurement activity aligns with ESG, sustainability, and UK local content goals.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Legal, Engineering, and Finance.
* Track procurement KPIs, vendor performance, and budgets.
* Build and maintain a robust supplier database with strong UK and European representation.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks; support project delivery during construction and commissioning.
* Assist with UK permitting, planning, and grid connection compliance where relevant.
Requirements
Essential:
* 4–8 years of procurement or supply chain experience in energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
* Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and procurement processes.
* Excellent negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis skills.
Preferred:
* Experience with utility-scale solar PV, onshore wind, or battery storage projects in the UK.
* Understanding of UK planning, permitting, and grid connection requirements.
