We're Hiring! – Children's Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (CHISVA) Based across Sandwell, Walsall & Dudley 37.5 hours per week | Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm £24,310 – £27,751 (depending on qualifications & experience) Travel required – must hold a full driving licence Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people affected by sexual violence? We're looking for a compassionate, trauma-informed professional to join our team as a Children's Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (CHISVA). This is a frontline role where every day you'll empower children and young people (aged 5-18) to find safety, rebuild trust, and begin their journey to recovery. What You'll Do: Provide one-to-one emotional and practical support to children and young people. Use creative, age-appropriate interventions to help them understand and process trauma. Support parents and carers to help them understand the impact of abuse and how to respond. ⚖️ Offer clear, accurate information about rights, options, and the criminal justice process. Work closely with schools, social care, health, and police to ensure joined-up, child-centred support. What You'll Bring: ✅ Experience supporting children and young people affected by trauma, abuse, or violence. ✅ A calm, compassionate and resilient approach. ✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. ✅ Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and multi-agency working. ✅ A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
