We're looking for a Project Commercial Director to join our Kier Strategic Projects business.
This will be a key leadership role where you will be the Project Commercial Director for a major project in excess of £500m in one of our core sectors of Defence, Custodial, Commercial or Healthcare.
Location: Rushden, with travel to the site and London for meetings.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Commercial Director, you'll work within the Construction team, providing strategic, visible leadership across your area of responsibility and other selected projects as required.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Managing and motivating the commercial team as well as cross-functional teams including procurement and administration.
* Leading talent identification, growth, and development to build long-term organisational capability for the region and group.
* Leveraging scale through demand planning and cross-project procurement liaising with other parts of the business unit/stream as required.
* Reviewing bids in terms of design and programme to ensure the full risk profile is understood.
* Driving creativity and planning to maximise margin and cash flow.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal if you have:
* A proven track record of leading a large portfolio of construction projects or a major project with strong front-end experience.
* Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
* The ability to establish, build, recruit, train, and retain effective teams.
* Knowledge of various contractual frameworks, including NEC contracts.
