This role attracts a 30% RRP, based on the bottom of the National Consultant (2003) pay scale, paid as a golden hello over 2 years.
Main duties of the job
The South Derbyshire CAMHS footprint covers Derby City, Amber Valley, Erewash, South Derbyshire, and Ashbourne, with bases in Derby City, Long Eaton, Ripley, Rivermead, and Swadlincote.

The key responsibilities include:
1. Providing psychiatric assessments, including risk evaluations.
2. Managing patients under the CAMHS Crisis and Liaison pathway, including risk assessment and management.
3. Collaborating with community teams, families, and agencies supporting children and young people in crisis.
4. Ensuring appropriate use of the Mental Health Act, including assessments in the community and 136 Suites, and participating in MHA assessments during on-call duties.
5. Supporting colleagues in T4 CPA discharge reviews to minimize inpatient stay durations and enhance community care for CYP.

This is a new full-time substantive Consultant role, serving as a clinical lead within the CAMHS Acute Care Team, which includes crisis, home treatment, and day services, incorporating former RISE Liaison and nurse-led services.

Salary range: £105,504 to £139,882 per annum, pro-rata.
